The New Ark Play Management Committee recently wrote to current members of Afterschool and Holiday Playground to explain why it has become necessary to increase charges for our Playground sessions.
For current Holiday members the changes apply from July 2016; for new families registering for Holiday sessions the changes are immediate. Afterschool families are already paying the new charges.
The letter explains that, in the present economic climate with rising costs, we have made these changes in order to maintain our current level of care given to your child/children. Some of the circumstances that have affected us include the Government introducing the living wage, and further limitations on the funding we are able to obtain from Government sources,
It is unfortunate that we have had to increase our charges. We have made every effort to ensure that they are as modest as practicable to reduce the effect it has on family budgets.
Further details about the pricing structure can be found at the below links
****Update *** We raised a fantastic £1,291.72 at our Good Friday Fun Day and 313 children took part in the Easter Hunt. Thank you to all the families and supporters who attended the event, and a special thank you to our devoted staff, volunteers and helpers without whom the event would not have been possible.
Now an annual event, we are organising our third Good Friday Easter Hunt for 25 March 2016, 11am-2pm.
There will be all the usual fun including a chocolate raffle, tombola, refreshments and children’s activities. You can also visit our city farm and play in the adventure playground.
Entry £1.50 per child to include Easter hunt. Parents and others gain entry by silver donation. Everyone is welcome whether or not they are currently registered at New Ark 🙂
If you can help out on the day, donate raffle prizes or home-baked goodies, please contact Charlotte on 01733 340605 or drop off items at New Ark anytime Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm.
Thank you for your support
